COVID-19 Update 63 with critical care specialist Roger Seheult, MD. Join Dr. Seheult for any live webcast, question and answer session, and free CME on Thursday, April 30 (4 PM ET): https://world wide seminar

Dr. Seheult explains the idea that appears most plausible to all of us at That COVID-19 is mainly an illness from the endothelium (the only layer of cells that line bloodstream and lymphatic vessels). This hypothesis helps explain the rise in cardiovascular complications from COVID-19: strokes, myocardial infarctions, thromboembolism (lung embolism, DVTs, along with other thrombus), in addition to many critical patients who don’t have the symptoms of classic ARDS signs and symptoms (and also have relatively normal lung compliance etc. as observed through the research of Dr. Gattinoni in Italia yet others). An in-depth knowledge of this theory requires overview of some foundational biochemistry such as the electron transport chain and ATP – the power currency from the body.
